Obsessive thinking? - January 2nd 2011, 06:03 AM

Ever since I started hurting myself (3 years ago) it's all I ever think about. I think 3 years of constant urges to hurt myself and thoughts about it is 3 years too long. Do all cutters, burners, etc. think like this?

I did for about 5 years I did. [13-18] This last year [with much effort at first] the thoughts and urges subsided for most the general time.. only appearing when things were/are really bad. So in my case, yes, it would be normal.

I use to think like that all the time. Me a cutter for 3 years now am just starting to get my thoughts away during the day by listening to non-secular music and keeping myself busy. At first that's all I would think about, but after a long while, you learn to break free.
