Exclamation Medical question - January 5th 2011, 09:31 PM

Lately when I bleed it doesn't drip. The blood is like (not to be disgusting) almost gelatanous. Why is that??? Also I just cut and literally the cut feels no different than the rest of my body at all. Why doesn't it hurt???

Blair,

I know the point of this thread isn't to get help with your cutting, so I'm not going to try and talk you out of that.

But medically, that's a little bizarre! I've read so many medical books and haven't heard of anything like that. You might have cut an area with more fat than you're used to -- fat tissue has less blood vessels than muscle tissue.

Other than that, I don't know! I'll do some research if you want me to.

i have heard that also that it maybe the way that you cut is differently and also it is fat tissue that you cut and that as it was said before that there isnt really that many blood vessles and it may show that your blood is clotting which in a way can be good so that you wont bleed as much but, also i would watch how much you cut if you can.

yes ragular blood clots but it shows that you arent able to keep bleeding for very long and unlike me i will bleed alot and that can be bad because then you can get weak from blood loss and that isnt good
