First of all can i say it maybe should be under triggering; it sent a twitch through me when i read it.
You should find alternatives to help you and take your mind of SH such as reading or writing, and you will find the urges will gradually decrease. Self harm is dangerous so don't start again

^^^^^ Best thing is to find an alternative. But it has to be something that you really like or love to do. So every time you get the urge, instead of using sh as a way to get rid of it, do the harmless alternative and see if you can get over it. Draw, write, take pictures, music, play a game, go outside... It's best to try and avoid situations that trigger it.

Hello again, Callie,

As others have said, perhaps the single most powerful thing you can do is to find alternatives. An excellent place to start is here, with literally hundreds of alternatives.

Personally, I find that when I feel really tense and just overall not good, blasting some really dramatic and emotional music helps. But do whatever works.

Please stay strong! You can beat this.

"Want to know a secret?

You are beautiful.

Black, white, gay, straight, bisexual. Whether you are smart or quiet or impossibly in love with your best friend, someone out there cherishes your smile and gets butterflies when you walk into a room.

Someone out there can't stop thinking about you. You Are Beautiful. Don't ever believe differently."

If you ever want someone to talk to, about absolutely anything, feel free to inbox me!
