The longer i go... - February 20th 2011, 07:47 AM

The longer I go with out cutting, the more often i think about it. I will just be sitting there, and its in the back of my mind. The urges become more desperate. Instead of realizing i dont have a razor and getting over it, i go out and find what ever. Like I found a plastic knife and broke it. I almost used it, but didnt. I could really care less about stopping or getting help now, unlike before when i really wanted both :/

You can do it addiction is hard to break and yes cutting is a addiction. I have cut myself too and I know the urges are hard to deal with. When you get the urges go distract your self go take a walk, watch tv, call a friend. Instead of cutting draw with red pen where you want to cut and put ice where you want to cut instead of cutting.

If you dont have a therapist allready please go see one they can really help you with these urges too and help you with what ever your going through. Please see a therapist getting help is a good thing. You want help you do I can tell your a fighter so dont give up now you can fight the urges to cut I know you can. You allready went 2 months with out cutting so you can go longer you can I believe in you. Need any thing else you can pm me or email me chrissey40@ymail.com

Hey,
As said above you can break this addiction, you have to keep going and persevre. It is hard, i know it is, but you can do it - stay strong and believe in yourself.
What alternatives have you tried? You could try things such as reading and distracting yourself, or crushing ice in your hands?
Remember you not alone and if you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me.
Stay strong and Take care :-)

Try a diffrent therapist maybe she was just not your type so keep looking for another therapist one you click with. Try the ice thing then hold ice for a long time on skin it will hurt or write poetry on how you feel.

It is hard, but you will get there, I promise. xxx
