Self harm free! - February 26th 2011, 11:33 PM

Like I used to cut, then i stopped for a week or so, then i cut again, and now i've just realized i've stopped cutting for.. A couple months i think? I'm not positive how long, but i think for a couple months. And i've noticed that i've been not depressed lately, either. I still have small relapses occasionally, but it's not like all the time.

I'm slowly getting better!
Really liking someone also helps quite a bit, too.
But yeah. Right now.. I'm actually kind of happy. I had forgotten what it felt like...

Hey Veronica,

Congratulations on being self harm free, that's an amazing achievement and you should be super proud of yourself for it! I love reading threads like these as I think they give everyone else who might be struggling at the moment the hope that they need in order to become self harm free too. I really hope that things continue to go well for you.

good job, being self harm free is a great accomplishment.

Hi Veronica.

It's great when achievements like that just sneak up on you, isn't it? You're just wandering along, and then suddenly you realise that you've come such a long way. Congratulations!

It's okay to still have bad days, or to have times when you question things, or times when you don't feel so good. What matters is that, yes, you're getting better. I'm glad to hear you're feeling happy again.

If you ever need anything, let us know.

Take care.

Congatulations!!! That's awesome =) I'm so happy for you and hope you're extremely proud of yourself! Also, thanks for posting this. It's really inspiring to have someone who's cut and been depressed talk about being happy...gives me more hope than I had before reading this.

I used to not be able to feel anything, used to shut everything out, but now i'm actually feeling things, and i feel so.. Alive. It's actually pretty great! I'm not a robot any longer.

I hope those who're going through similar things i am either get help, or are able to help themselves like i did.
