Worried - March 21st 2011, 12:47 AM

My friends who know want me to quit and my sister thinks I only have done it a little bit but wants me to stop and my therapist wants to help me stop but I'm not sure anymore. I'm scared that I'll never be happy without it. What if I quit and am just miserable and always wanting it? What if I try to quit and can't?

If you dont try youll never know to be honest. The best way to quit is to try and find something else for releasing your emotion, for example, music for me.

Quitting is hard and it can seem really daunting but it is the best thing. It seems scary and you will wonder if you are able to but you have to try and be positive. Tell yourself you CAN do this!
It may seems like cutting makes you happy but you only get that feeling of happiness for a short while and the you feel miserable again. Without cutting you will find better alternatives to feeling happy. I agree with the above poster try music that helps me a lot when im feeling down.
Quitting will be hard but you have to try. You can do it and yes a couple of times you will slip up but that will make you stronger and more determined to quit.
You CAN do this!
