Forget the risk. Take the fall. If it's meant to be, it's worth it all.

Hi there.

The problem with wanting to be perfect is that it's an impossible goal. I'm generally one to believe that 'anything is possible', but this is one of very few things that aren't. You're human, and that means you're flawed. I don't mean that in a bad way, more in a realistic way. In your life, you're going to make mistakes, you're going to have doubts, and you're going to experience a lot of emotions. Because you're human, and that's how it is. Aiming for perfection is setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm not saying don't aim high, just be realistic about it. I'm all for achieving your goals and dreaming big, but be aware that there'll be ups and downs, and you have to be able to take the hits with the misses, so to speak.

I'm sorry to hear that you've relapsed, and especially that you feel like this is 'the last time'. That makes it sound like you're going to give up on recovery, which I really hope isn't true. Recovery is hard, but it's worth it. There'll be times when you want to give up, when you feel like you can't go on any longer, but in giving up, you're also giving up any chance of happiness and health.

Take care, and stay strong.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.
