Unhappy Self harm - April 14th 2011, 10:27 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I just went back to burning myself. It's been two years since I last played with fire. This only happened because I couldn't find my razorblade. I really need help, but I'm scared people will just dismiss my pain again if I try to get help...

well what i would be able to tell you is that even though you dont think that people will take you surious about what you are going through, the thing is if you would tell someone that you would trust maybe at school or a parents friend and by law they have to get you help because if they dont they would be able to lose their licence and the thing is that i am really happy that you want to get help because that is one way that you want to help your self

Hey there.

I'm sorry things have gotten so rough for you again to the point where you have started to self harm.

I honestly think that id you tell someone about whats going on for you right now they wont dismiss you and your pain. I think people will care about you and worry. And I think they will want to help you. If you talk to a professional such as a teacher, school nurse/counselor or a doctor, they will all respect what you have to say, they won't judge you, they'll take you seriously and they should try to help you as much as they can. It's what they are there for.

I also want to suggest you take a look at the alternatives. Not every single one on this list will help you but there will be ones which do help you so its important you don't let the ones which don't work get you down and get in your way.

Stay strong.
Jessie.
