i get asked more and more -
April 15th 2011, 03:38 AM
i have been getting asked more and more about my scars. today was awful. this is what someone said to me: " wow....lola your arm looks massacred. tylers arm looks like that too. what? do you and tyler share razors together and takes turns. jk!" that made me so upset. i couldnt even handle it. this keeps happening and im sick of it. everytime it happens i just think i should wear pants and long sleeves everyday for the rest of my life

Hey Lola,
It is always really difficult when people ask about scars like that, a lot of the time they may not realise they are upsetting you. Only you can decide what you should say to them, you can either smile and ignore it, or if they are close to you perhaps you could tell them so they can try to understand? Lying is a harder thing to do and can sometimes cause more questions, but at the end of the day it is down to what you feel comfortable telling people. Don't be afraid to wear short sleeves, wear what you want, don't worry about your scars; i know it may sound like a strange thing to say, but don't be ashamed of them. You wear what you want to wear! ![]() Feel free to PM me if you ever want/ need to talk Take care and stay strong Charli

Please do not be ashamed.
Your scars are your stories. Each one represents a different chapter, and you should not feel ashamed to share them with others. I understand how it does feel uncomfortable in the beginning, but I feel that the scars are what makes each of us, well, us. Wear what you want. If you want to wear long sleeves and pants for the rest of your life, then that is your decision. But personally, I have six years worth of stories, and I don't mind sharing them. It's too hot to wear long sleeves all the time. =P Enjoy yourself and don't let their comments get to you. Those comments just show you how ignorant or disrespectful some people are.
