Hey Chris.

First off, you're not stupid. Self harm does not make you stupid, worthless, crazy, bad, or any other insult you can throw at yourself. You slipped up, and that's not something you need to punish yourself for.

It sounds like you've gone a long time without self harm, which is great. This doesn't have to mean you're relapsing, or giving up on recovery - you can get past this. It's just a bump in the road. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep going.

I think you're writing this because you're confused. On one hand, you self harmed, and you know that's not good; on the other hand, it may have felt good, and the idea of going back to it is probably kind of appealing. Try and remember why you stopped for so long - what made you decide to recover, what strategies did you use during this process? Would they work now?

Take care, okay?

You're not stupid. Self harm is a horrible addiction, and relapses for any kinda of addiction is normal. I know that it feel bad to go so long with out it and then give in, but you just have to keep on trying to stop, and don't say you don't care. Then you will start to beilive you don't caree and you won't stand a chance quitting. I hope that you're able to stop again PM me if you need anything.
