Question im leaving home b/c of him. - May 4th 2011, 02:09 AM

when i went off to school i found a place that i love. small town squeezed between mountains. they actually support my rather strange major. in short... i love this place and everything was going wonderfully. i met someone after a few months and fell perfectly in love with him. we were engaged after a year together. then he got scared and left.

but he stuck around. we were still together but not in any official way. no commitment just, we love each other. but i was depressed all the time, and i started cutting. its been a year and nothing has gotten easier. its gotten worse actually. i find so many reasons to hate this place that i used to love.

so i decided to leave and go back home. i feel like im giving up and running away. he's not happy about it either. keeps asking me where im going (which ive refused to tell him) i figure if i know he cant find me, then it wont hurt that he doesnt try. its destroying both of us but everyone i talk to says im making the right decision. but i feel horrible about leaving him. he needs me. i want to leave him a number or email or new facebook so that he can stay in touch but im not sure if its a good idea. please help!!!!!

"...and the ships fill the skies, Peter Pan flies by, giants race on through the trees, chase away bad memories, faeries floating on the breezes, the wind it blows her hair it teases, never knows just where she'll go, she only hopes that he will take her home."

first of all you might not like this answer. it doesn't seem like u r doing anything wrong. If he makes you feel like you are necessary for him to do anything, he might be a bit manipulating. If you arn't happy in a relationship then somthing is wrong. Manipulating actually can be the start of an abusive relationship. now don't go overboard. somthimes people are manipulating but wouldnt' hurt a fly. so dont think just because i told you this im automatically right. All in all you should do what is best for you. If you arnt happy at all then maybe you should go back home. PM me if you need anything. even if its just to tell someone, i know a bit about bad relationships.
