Smile Helping myself(: - June 24th 2011, 01:07 AM

So I used to kinda cut a lot last December and January. Then I got help and didn't cut til February then stopped, then cut a couple times only in April, stopped, and the last time I cut was May 12.

Now I'm getting really strong urges to cut... I've even grabbed sharp things to cut, but stopped myself because I know I shouldn't do it.

So today I decided to try something new to see if I can stop the urges.. I started the butterfly project. I drew 3 butterflies, one on my arm and two on my leg, because that's where I always cut. I'm hoping that this will work for me, and will stop the urges.

Well done on having the courage to help yourself it is a very brave thing to do.
It is brillient that you are doing the butterfly project and I hope it is an alternative that works for you.

You said that you have gotton to the point in which you have grabbed sharp objects and I was wondering wether it would be possible to get rid of these sharp objects as this can help resist urges.

Keep going and take care

"Casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

Excellent choice...draw as many as you need...better yet have others draw them for you...those are extra special.

I also started the butterfly project! I have one on my arm currently, so far, so good! hope it works for you too(:

I'm burning out like a bright light, I wasn't ready for this. You're adorable as hell, but I'm glancing at your wrist.
