Unhappy My brother - July 10th 2011, 10:57 PM

I have a half brother, who lives with my dad and the rest of his family. Last time I went to dad's it was a very hot day, I was wearing a jumper. Dad told me It was hot and I had to take it off, reluctantly I did so. Then I got into the car. I sit behind dad and next to my half brother.

The first thing anyone said as I arrived was from him and he says
"why do you have 'help' written on your arm?"
I couldent turn round to him and go
"because I took a blade and cut it in, any problem's?"
Because he is 'only' 7 and Dad's house is 'my escape' Generally life is ok there, Iv only harmed once all the times I have been there, I enjoy going there. It's just that I don't want anything to change that. Also I think 7's too young for him to know.
So that time (luckly) my step mum said
"hello, (my name) how are you?"
which changed the conversation. And he seamed to get the message not to ask.

I just don't want him to ask again, what would I say?

Hey Dipka.

Now I wouldn't ever experience this issue because my younger cousins are too oblivious to notice any scars or wounds. And I don't have siblings.

If I were you, I'd pass it off as a "I'll tell you when you're older" type thing. I wouldn't tell him for a few more years. I'm assuming at least your dad knows just judging by the context of your post. So maybe tell him about your half brother's curiosity? Sorry if I'm wrong about him knowing.

Hope I helped.

And I looked and behold: a pale horse.
And his name, that sat on him, was Death.
And Hell followed with him.

Thank's for the reply

yeh, School told my dad I think. Either way he's really supportive e.g. He let me wear his shurt's wich have long sleaves when we went on a activities day.

My half brother's REALLY clever though. He's already doing the thing's I am doing (dad teaches him thing's at home, purly because my half brother want's to learn them) So he is the same ability as I am, Im over double his age. I really doubt he will belive that sort of thing.

Im just so scared. It's too early for him to have to think about it.

You're really lucky to have a supportive dad. I wish my parents were supportive.

If he's smarter than his age, I'd have to say your best bet would be to have your dad try and talk to him about it. Only thing I can think of.
