last night i cut myself.
and ive been self harm free since February 23rd. i feel so weak now but i had to cut, it was self punishment. id rather not talk about it if its all the same to you guys.. i dont really have time to right alot because im getting picked up to go to my friends cottage in 20 minutes. it wasnt a huge cut but it was a slit on my hip. i put a bandage on it , which i usually dont do, because i dont want it getting infected by the lake water. because theres this thing called the lake itch, its a parisite that gets under your skin and makes tiny mosquito bit things and its a rash and also i doubt that the lake water is clean enough for me not to wear a band aid.

I'm so sorry to hear you did this last night, but what you should focus on is the fact it was one tiny hiccup in such an amazing achievement. That's not a terrible thing! I mean, no, it's not good that you SHed, but the fact you went so long without it only goes to show that it's not impossible for you to give up! You're obviously such a strong person, and that shows in this thread because of how long it had been. It's a shame you cut, but it's something to learn from and work off of. This time, set yourself a challenge to go longer. Make it your personal goal to get past the time it was this time, and go as long as you can. You can do this!

Im sorry to hear you cut again but like Hollie said, you have made fantastic progress!! If you can do it once, you can do it again!
I would be reeeally careful about the lake water...its unlikely to be clean like a pool or tap. Im sure you wanna have fun with your friend so im not going to be a drag and say not to get in the water. But I would keep a little bottle of rubbing achohol in ur beach bag/purse and a box of bandaids and everytime u get out of the water for any length of time go to the bathroom and clean it with the rubbing achohol and put a new bandage on. They also make water-proof band-aids! This should keep it from getting infected. And your friend will just assume ur on ur period going to change ur tampon! Its a win win :P Have fun on your trip!! <3
