drowning - August 9th 2011, 05:46 AM

It's like I'm loosing control and am drowning and don't know how to swim...and that really sucks I actually scratched my skin raw for the first time in about 6 months just to feel something and now I can't stopping thinking about it. And how I want to do it more and more just to feel. I know I can get away with it too because I do scratch my skin in my sleep so I just use that as an excuse and everyone believes me. I mean I scratched my skin yesterday because i was annoyed all day, then I was surrounded by a lot of people and I have really bad anxiety problems. So I guess I just need something to take my mind off that and it did but I didn't work like cutting used too.

Once I get back home I am going to fire my therapist because she doesn't know shit...so I offically don't have one and with school starting I really do need one....I guess I just need advice

My advice is that you should learn to take everything easier, and just remember.. you're a more wonderful person than you think you are one thing you could do is talk to a friend about how annoyed you are with the current situation... dont want you hurting yourself. all right?

remember we're always, always here to support and help you, and no matter what it takes.... we wanna see you smile

Hi there

It must be hard to be dealing with all the pressure right now and so I understand why you are self harming, but you don't deserve to do this to yourself.
You are better than this and can beat it.

My advice would be to talk to your therapist about swapping to someone else. They are trained to accept your decisions and if you feel as though you aren't getting anywhere, then go ahead. Make sure you find a new one though. Because if you haven't recovered, coming out of therapy could be a bad move.

Maybe take a look at the alternatives to self harm thread. I dont know whether you've seen it before but it is really useful. remember it is all about finding the right distraction for you, so try a few different ones and be patient.

Remember that you can do this. It might be hard, but it gets easier.

If you ever need anything, or want to talk, just drop me a message.

Stay safe

- Charli <3
