eurgh so last week i chucked my blades . but today i found a new blade ! well actually i got it from a pencil sharpener . Most Sharpest blade ive ever used .
I could see the skin splitting open , and the cut was really deep it made me feel sick . I Think i need stitches , but i i get an infection im stuffed ://

ive tried most things , from throwing pillows , to punching soft things , screaming , writing , cold shower worked .. for a while .. now im scared of what im going to do .

How do you feel about getting rid of you're new blade? You threw you're old ones away which makes me think you don't want to do this to yourself? Or that perhaps you're trying to stop? You have no need to have that blade in your possession anymore, chuck it, threw it away, get rid of it before you hurt yourself even more I know when the urge to self harm is there, it's very difficult to over come, but it is possible. If I'm honest, I'm really worried about the wound you have there, you can't afford to loose anymore blood if you think you need stitches on the one you already have.

You mentioned you have tried distractions but have you looked at this website: http://www.palace.net/llama/psych/fself.html It has distractions you can match to you're mood so it might be a little bit more helpful then some of the things you have already tried

Have you got anyone around you at the moment you can talk to about how things are? It sounds like you're having a really tough time and being able to talk to someone about it could do you the world of good Have a think about it, a friend, teacher, anyone Have you got any professional help at the moment? If not that might be something to think about too

Please look after yourself and you're wound. If it's not getting any better please get it checked out. It might be scary but it's better then getting a horrible infection!

Urgh, that guy sounds like a total idiot! Don't listen to a word he says, he clearly has to make himself feel better by making you feel like rubbish! Try not to let it get you down and don't take it to heart! It's hard I know, someone told me to do the exact same thing once and I was so upset. Get through this with you're friends, they sound upset too, support each other

if it's as deep as you say it is, you probably need stitches. Stitches would help prevent infection and scaring. I'm not sure if there are any places like this near you, but i think that there are clinics where you can get stitches without getting your parents involved. If not, you may have to. Infections can get really bad, like stay in the hospital bad.

If you choose not to get medical help, try using some steri-strips or butterfly bandaids to pull the wound closed. Try cleaning it with hydrogen and peroxide and put something like neosporin on it to prevent infection and promote healing.

I would get rid of the blade. It will make it harder for you to SH again. I know how hard it is. The same thing keeps happening to me ( i throw it away but i find something else)

I really hope you're feeling better today and you've managed to sort your wound out. Have you been able to clean it and look after it as best you can? You're right this is a wake up call and that's a good way to look at it. That way it'll hopefully help you think twice if you're ever in a similar mind frame again! yeh ive been cleaning it out everyday , its scabbing over now . i know i said its a wake up call .. but .. never mind .
