Smile I'm ready - August 22nd 2011, 01:33 AM

In the last 6 or so months I have been pretty much just giving into any urges to self harm, probably because they're not constant like they once were. Though the main reason I didn't resist urges was because I wasn't ready to stop. Where was the point in quitting when I didn't feel ready to?

I've reached a point where I think it is now that I am ready to stop. A recent event brought this to my attention. I considered that I just felt ready to stop was because of my then environment, but then I noticed that that event was really life changing if anything. I'm serious when I say I am ready to stop self harming. I feel ready to stop.

It destroyed me. It had a part of my soul that I am taking back. I'm letting self harm go, it can float off somewhere, I'm having my life back.

I'm ready to stop for good.

Thats great to hear, it takes a lot of courage to be able to say that. Just remember there are alternatives if you ever feel any urges again. Stay strong, you can do it

And here you are living, despite it all.

Hey there.

Deciding to stop can be a scary, but liberating, thing. I know the road isn't easy, but it's worth it. I wish you all the best, and if you ever need anything, feel free to get in touch.

Take care.
