Is it really my fault?

My best guy friend found out I'm suicidal and cut himself
Then he showed me his arm and said it was my fault. He said i should just leave him alone cuz he didn't need that on his arms.
I feel bad, but was it really my fault? I hate when he does that, and he knows it. So why am i getting the blame?
Is it my fault or not?

I want to make sure you know what he did is not your fault. You for one did not make him hurt himself and for two we're all in control of our own actions. HE hurt HIMself. You don't need to blame yourself. And I really hope you stop blaming you because it's pressure you don't need at all. No one is to blame for someones self harm. Don't feel bad for it.

I'm also sorry you're feeling suicidal. I don't know whats gone on but I wanted you to know we're here for you if you need anyone. You CAN beat this.

I'm so sorry to hear your friend is saying these things to you, it must be awful to have to listen to him saying these things. You must remember that each person is responsible for his or her own actions. Ultimately what they choose to do or not to do is their own personal decision. It sounds to me he is trying to find someone to blame for what he has done to himself and unfortunately it's you he is blaming. Do you think it would be a good idea to stay away from him for the time being? If he's going to be saying these horrible things to you, it isn't going to be helping you and your problems at the moment

Saying that, have you any help and support for your self harm and suicidal thoughts? If you haven't I'd strongly suggest to talk to a professional around you about these. Getting yourself some help and support may make all the difference to how your feeling. Maybe talk to someone like a teacher?

No it's not your fault. Sorry but your friend is an ass hat. He's using your problem as an excuse for his cutting. Sweetie suicide is a permant soulution to a temp. problem don't do it. You will actually hurt more people if you kill yourself. It's not worth it.
