Questions for FREQUENT self harmers only! have i gone too far? - September 24th 2011, 01:20 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

How often do you self-harm? I started cutting this week after 4 moths, i've cut on and off for two years, and each time i start i seem to have to cut more often and deeper. Since I've started cutting, the longest time awake I've gone without cutting is 5 hours. I want to cut right now in fact, and I cut only 2 hours ago.

Another question, have you ever collapsed from blood loss? I also struggle with anorexia, and combined, i am constantly pale and lightheaded. I'm wondering if this is more due to the cutting or the not eating.

Welcome! I am a 'frequent' self harmer, I cut around 2 or more times a day, my advrage being 3 times a day. In answer to your question: yes I have collapsed from blood loss, your light headed feeling is probably being caused by both your cutting and not eating... Please be careful when you cut! Trust me passing out from blood loss is not fun...

I'm cut several times everyday, but I haven't passed out from blood loss yet. It is something that scares me about doing it everyday.

I have collapsed from blood loss and it was horrible ... especially because my parents found me in a pool of blood but anyway ... I would suggest you to talk to someone about it, or try to find an alternative to coping with stuff, I know it's hard but the start is always the hardest.

I've recently cut a few times each day. Before I used to go weeks without it, now I can't and am cutting every day, sometimes a few times each day. I've never passed out from blood loss but have sometimes felt 'dizzy' after cutting.

BROKE
the girl who seemed strong
CRUMBLED
the girl who always laughed
CRIED
the girl who never stopped trying finally
GAVE UP

she let her fake smile fade and as she did a tear rolled down her cheek and she whispered

' i can't do this anymore'

Hi there.

I do self harm and yes I have passed out from blood loss. I fainted quite a few times and found out I had become anemic due to blood loss from self harm.

I don't really know what you are going through but I Just wanted you to know that I am here for you if you ever need anyone at all. You don't have to be on your own in this and things can get better for you.
