Hi there.
Firstly it's great that you stopped in the first place and that is something to hold on to. It's also really good that you're here asking for help. Recovery to self harm is not easy, not is it suppose to be. It's not a one way path where one day you decide you're going to stop self harming and never do it again and are happy ever after. Chances are high that you will have a slip up. But it is okay to have a slip up because it's not about them, it's all about picking yourself back up afterwards. Take this slip up as an opportunity to start over again and gain more strength. I know it's incredibly hard to look at it this way and to beat through the urges but you can do it. Have you tried using distraction techniques. Not everything will work for you but there will be ones which do so it is all about trial and error and finding the ones which have a positive affect on you. Do you have anyone to talk to? You never have to be alone in this. Of course we're always here for you and you can always post a thread, write in to HelpLINK or go on to LiveHelp. You're not alone. But with us being over the internet there is only so much we can do to help you, you might find it beneficial to talk to someone such as your doctor, a teacher or a school nurse/counselor. But remember there is still only so much they can do too. Half of the work has to come from you if you want to get through this. I know it's really hard for you right now but keep on fighting this. It can and will get better. For you to stop cutting in the first place shows your strength and control of wanting to stop. Cutting is an addiction, when we get so upset we feel that cutting will actually give us a reason to be upset or another way to take the pain out. Subconsiously you must be upset or bothered by somethiing that has recently happened. Stay strong and PM me anytie you need someone to talk to.
