Hi There,

I am sorry that you want to cut so much. Have you tried talking to your parents about what made you so mad that you wanted to cut?

Have you ever talked to your parents about this?

Take Care,

I know how you feel. I sketches a pic of someone SHing earlier instead of doing it to myself. I found that to be helpful. Try doing a hobby that is similar but doesn't hurt you whenever you feel the urge.

Hi there.

I am really sorry that you're struggling with self harm.

You stated that you started after being mad at your parents. Is this still the trigger as to why you want to self harm? I know sometimes it can be hard to understand the trigger but finding out what is causing these urges for you to hurt yourself might help you start to beat them and to start to feel better. Perhaps, if you don't know what the trigger is, then you can try keeping a log. Keep the date, the time, where you are, what you're doing and what your thoughts are. This way you can see if there is a pattern or particular things which happen before you get the urges and you can work on building techniques to help you get through the situations if they can't be avoided.

For now I want to encourage you to talk a look at this list of alternatives to self harm. I am not saying these are the cure because they're not but these things can be beauties for helping you get through your low moments and help you beat these horrible urges. Not all of them will help you, but there will be ones which do so it's important you don't stop trying them when you comer across one which doesn't help you. It is all about trial and error.

Now remember, you are stronger than this. You can beat this and you can get through these urges. You are worth so much more than the pain you put yourself through when you self harm and you and me both know that hurting yourself is not going to make you feel that much better and it's not going to solve the underlying issues.

Keep fighting, you can do this.
Jessie

Hi,

I'm so sorry that you are struggling with self harm. It is an easy thing to become addicted to, and pretty soon it becomes a part of your life. I agree that you should keep a log, this is what usually works for me. Once you are feeling better you can look back at what is going on with you and then figure out how to solve the problems. Try to find something to distract you as well, like writing poetry or stories, drawing, or exercising. You have to find something that works for you that will keep you from self harming. If your parents aren't the only reason you are triggered nowadays, you might also want to talk to a counselor to see if they can help you get to the bottom of what is causing you to be triggered, and they can give you techniques to help you when you get the urge. But please stay strong. You can definitely beat this!

I couldn't have put it better if I tried.

Feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk. I've struggled with the same thing.
