im done -

I can't handle it anymore. I have my moments where I can distract myself. But the moment I get back to life, the urge comes right back. Its killing me inside. Life is killing me. I come home every day and watch hours of mind numbing tv and cry myself to sleep because idk what else to do. Life was easier when I was cutting. what the hell do I do?

Hi there :-)
I'm going to say what you I think you don't want me to say. You need to keep distracting yourself. I know it's hard when it feels like it only helps in the moment and once you stop the urges come back, but it might be that you need to look at other distractions which actually help you more so that the urges don't just come back. You can take a look at this list for some more ideas. Remember it's all about trial and error. I can relate to how it feels, by trying using a distraction but then when you stop you get the urges back, but if that is the case you have to just constantly keep yourself busy. I know that's hard, but if it's what's going to stop you from hurting yourself and is what is going to help you beat these urges then it's going to be well worth it. I don't know what is triggering your urges or what's making you feel so low that you feel you need to hurt yourself and if you want to talk about it, you are more than welcome too. I know it's hard to get through self harm and overcome it but you really can. You can do this and you are worth a hell of a lot more than self harm. You don't need it because at the end of the day it's not and never will solve the underlying issue behind your self harm, and if you go back in to self harming, there's a chance you'll become addicted and find it so much harder to stop. It's not worth it at all, which is why you need to keep fighting here and now. You can beat this, don't give up and don't be alone. Don't be afraid to reach out for help. Believe in yourself. Stay safe and look after yourself, okay? Hey, i'm really sorry you're feeling like this, but carrying on not cutting is going to make you feel so much better in the longrun, self harm is temporary fix, but soon after you're going to feel worse that you did it. I've been in your position, i self harmed for 5 years, and i relapsed so many times, but now i haven't cut in 2 years, and when times get hard i barely think about it anymore, i used to read posts like this and think i'd never get to that point, but you can, it just takes persistence, you need to be sure you're ready to stop, and concentrate on the positives. Have you tried talking to somebody about how you're feeling? I think it would be very beneficial for you to do this just to get it all off your chest, take care x
