Is this self harm? I have some bites on my arms and I scratch them really hard because I like to feel the pain. I'm also kinda hoping that I'll "accidently" make them bleed
Everthing I see seems to be a lie. And everything you see in me you think is the truth. But, really all you see is what I'm masking the real me with. You never see me cry. Because I'll never let you. And you'll never see me die because I feel like I already have in a way.

Hi there.
Yes, I would say that what you're doing is self harm because you're doing this with the intent to hurt yourself. I don't know why you want to feel the pain or make yourself bleed but if you want to talk to us about it here, you can do. Self harm is never the answer and we'll support you as much as we can. Hey,
Like Jessie said, I think that it can be considered self harm. Anything that is done to intentionally hurt yourself for whatever reason can be considered self harm. However, there are better ways to deal with what you are feeling than self harming, because once you start it can really get addictive. Have you ever thought of trying an alternative, such as writing out what you are feeling or listen to music to make yourself feel better? Self harm is definitely not a good idea, and you can get through this. ![]() Stay strong, -Dez Sing, the last thing on your mind The last word on your breath I'll be the one to keep you I'll keep you at your best ![]() Self Expression Forum Mod 4/23/12 |

Hey there,
As the others said, anything done to intentionally harm yourself or to cause pain can be classed as self harm, so yes i would say it was. Take a look at the alternatives thread, so next time you can try some of them rather than hurting yourself. It is trial and error so therefore not all of them may work for you, but hang in there and you will find one that does. I know you can get through this. Feel free to PM me if you ever want/need to talk, Take care and Stay strong, Charli
