I dont want my parents to know

i dont want my parents to know I am cutting so i only do it on the palm of my hand and know its bad. I want help without them knowing or they are going to throw me into a mental facility like they already said when I cut a while back. they think i've stopped and I really don't want to go to north star, that is out teen mental hospital. It scares me to ask them for help knowing what they will do if and when they find out. I need some help anyone have any good suggestions?

I had the same issue.. I don't know what your school counselor is like, but when I told mine I was cutting, she didn't tell my parents until I was ready to let her. Talk to your school counselor about it.

I agree with 13reasonswhy for sure. Don't they have a doctor/patient confidentiality thing? I mean, at least she/he could help you tell your parents, right? I'm sure they only want you to get better, and they might think that that is the best option. I think they should've talked to you about it though, because when they say things like that, it just makes you more closed off an stressed. You can PM me any time, ok? <3 and

me 2... ppl always ask if im ok and i just say im fine cuz i dont want anyone to know... it would be terrible if mom and dad found out.... i wear alot of bracelets and long sleeve shirts, it helps hide the scars... dont worry ur not alone and if ur mom and dad do find out and send u to tht place tell the ppl about ur parents doing tht and how u feel about it, in fact tell ur parents 1st! make sure they know tht u rlly dont wanna go... it wont help if u go and become more miserable...
