Okay guys I really need your help with something. A couple days ago my friend tried to cut herself. She couldn't bring herself to do it which is good but she said that she hates herself for not being able to and that she's not strong enough to release the pain. I know how that feels because I'll get mad at myself if I can't cut deep enough or whatever. But anyway, I don't know what to say to this. I really just have no idea. And I don't wanna say the wrong thing. So basically what should I say to her when she says things like this?*

Does she know about your self harm? Maybe if you told her, she could feel like she can rely on you more, or you could tell her that you know from experience how destroying SH can be.
But if you don't feel comfortable telling her, then just act towards her the way you'd like to be treated. So don't pry too much, but make sure she knows you're there for her  I hope things get better for both of you!<3 LiveHelpOperator|TalentCommittee RIP Grandad xxx |

Yes she does know about it. We've been talking about quite a bit lately. And I practically begged her to never try to hurt herself again. Self harm ruined me and I don't want to see the same thing happen to her.
And I've been assuring her that I'm there for her no matter what. She's going thru a lot. It's hard to see her in such pain. Thank you! I do too<3 |
