Hiya everyone, I have quite a story here.

I went through a phase of wanting to cut myself for a while, I actually attempted to do it with a blunt object... Stupid I know. I'm a bit emo deep down and I don't know what to do about this. Can you help?

Okay first of all, cutting is not stupid. Your feelings are valid. When people cut, that's sad, it's not good, etc - but it is not stupid, especially if one is addicted.
But like, seriously don't start. Once you start it's really hard to go back. You'll find yourself wanting to cut all the time.. you'll get addicted. Starting is a really bad idea..
Do you know why you're feeling like this? If you take care of the feelings that are making you want to cut then the urge might subside.

Please don't start! It's not good at all. I started just with little scratches and now it's like I can't control it. You always wanna go deeper so please don't fall into the "I'm only doing little scratches" trap cuz it progresses quite rapidly. Good luck! If you need anything PM me

It's not stupid at all. Your feelings are very important to who you are. Cutting (even with a blunt object/scratching etc) can be seen as the physical expression of emotion but it is very addicting. Not starting is your best defense honestly.

Understanding your emotions and avoiding triggers, or putting more positive coping methods in place to avoid self injury are so important.
