ok so i started the butterfly project last night. I felt like cutting myself and instead i scribbled abunch of butterflies up and down my arms which did make feel a lil better then this morning i got my friend to draw one but honestly looking at them now they don't really mean much to me even tho i tried naming them after people i love (i heard that helps) i honestly think i could slash right thru them if i felt the need to (technically i already cut one
) and im not girly in the least bit so ive already had two people make fun of me having butterflies on me which didnt help. So what I'm thinking is: my brother hated me cutting myself and after he died i got his name tattooed on my wrist to try to stop myself from doing it and it worked.....kinda, i don't cut anywhere near his name because i just think of how much he hated it, and the Guy i was dating/in love with commited suicide (via o.d.) and he hated me cutting myself too. his nickname was buho (owl in Spanish) so I'm thinking maybe i should cover my arms with drawings of owls? idk. What do y'all think?

Honestly, what you draw doesn't matter. If you think drawing an owl in honor of your boyfriend, then do that. I'm sure he would be pleased to know that you're trying so hard to stop cutting. Also, I'd like to say that I'm sorry for the losses you have suffered.

If you think drawing owls will help, then go ahead and draw some owls. You know yourself better then any of us do.

If you think that it will help you through then go for it. It doesn't really matter what you draw, but if it means something to and you think that it's what will you get you through this, then it is a good idea.
If you ever want/ need to talk, feel free to PM me, Take care, Charli <3 |

I think it's a great idea. Whatever you think will help you.
I drew my very first butterfly like an hour ago, I think the owls are a great idea.
