I promised my parents that i would never cut again. They made me.
 I don't think i can keep my promise. Im tempted to cut in a place they can't see. I can't stop cutting right now, it keeps me sane. What do i do??? I can't quit..

You should definitely check out this sticky. Some of the alternatives may seem silly, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that you find something to do when you're triggered -- something that stops you from self-harming. Also, try to be as honest with your parents as possible. Since they already know about your SH, don't hide slip-ups from them. Ask them to try and understand how difficult it is and ask that they are supportive of you. Good luck!

I can't keep my promise. Im tempted to just cut and not tell anyone.
I've tried alternatives but they don't really work.. I wish i could tell the truth to someone..

I agree with Sammi. Just be honest with your parents. Having someone support you is really key. If they don't support you, than obviously you're back to hiding it, if you don't want to seek help elsewhere.
But you've made this post, so hopefully it's to get help in keeping your promise. Just talk to them. Maybe print out some information on SH and explain your situation. Best of luck! |
