I'm a cutter. I just started to get help 4 months ago. Since I'm trying not to cut, when I want to (which is a lot), I bite my wrist. Is this a form of self-harm?

I would say it is.
Anything you do to hurt yourself that causes injury is self harm.
For a list of what is considered Self Harm you can read this post.
I hope this answers your question.
You can send me a PM or VM if you ever need someone to talk to when you want to SH.
Take care.

I would call it self harm. As the above user had said anything you do to try harm yourself is considered self-harm.

Yes, I would consider this to be self harm. Just like the other posters said, self harm is anything you do to hurt yourself and cause injury. It's great that you're getting help for it though!

I would call this self harm, since anything that you are doing intentionally that can hurt yourself can be considered self harm. I am so glad that you're starting to get help. Stay strong!

Anything you do to purposely harm yourself should be considered self harm. If you're doing it instead of cutting, but for the same reasons, then yes, I would consider it self harm.

Hey Cassidy

This is a form of Self Harm, no doubt about it. Try to use these alternatives instead of finding another alternative to harm yourself. You'll have to find an alternative that works for you through trial and error.

I am here for you. PM/VM me anytime.
Stay strong <3
