Hey there :)

I am sorry that things are tough for you right now. But keep using the alternatives. Every one is different and Self Harms for a different reason. So the same alternatives don't work for everyone. Keep trying them till you find the ones that work for you.

At the same time you need to confront the underlying issues because of which you are having these urges. Self Harm is a response to these issues and to completely overcome it, you need to resolve these issues first. Try writing down your feelings and talking about them. It will give you a perspective and help you tackle things better. Also, if required, don't hesitate to talk to a professional about this as they can guide you a lot.

If you need someone to talk to, please PM/VM me anytime.
Stay strong

My friend used to go exercising until the urge went away, which it did eventually, think she got too tired to think about it and just wanted to sleep! :)

Definitely make sure you look at the alternatives list, some of them are really, really helpful. I think the best thing about this site is that it doesn't give you a lecture and just tell you to "stop" it actually gives you alternatives and support from people who understand.

Good luck! :)
