I haven't been on here in 5 months. I've been clean for 5 months. No urges, finally happy. But everything's come crashing down, my facade's fading and I'm so close to slipping. I forgot what it was like to hurt this much, I definately didn't miss it..

You've gotta swim, swim for your life. Swim for the music that saves you, when you're not so sure you'll survive. You gotta swim and swim when it hurts. The whole world is watching. You haven't come this far to fall off the earth.

I know that point and I know how much worse the urges feel when it's been that long. There's usually nothing for me that makes it a whole lot easier. But I try to remind myself that I've already been so strong for so long. And that I know I can do it. It also helps to have someone that you can talk to at anytime, and to have alternatives and distractions already thought out. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a bunch of distractions. 5 months is really amazing and you should be so proud of yourself for getting this far.
You can PM me any time if you want to talk.

When you get thrown off, you get back up on the horse. If you were OK for 5 months, you can do it again. Just reassemble your life and do what you need to to get back there.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.
