Unhappy "Erasing my skin" as the kids would call it. - March 21st 2012, 04:23 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of self harm, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I was doing somewhat good, and I hadn't really had any urges for a few weeks since they put me on my medication for type two bipolar disorder. But yesterday, the urges started coming after a session of group therapy. I didn't cut yesterday because I couldn't find my blades and I didn't have the willpower to take the blade from my pencil sharpener.

But today in class, I just started freaking out for almost no reason. Nothing really triggered it from waht I can recall. And when I say "freak out", it wasn't some loud class outburst. I started scribbling my quite violent thoughts onto the piece of paper in front of me, and then my whole body was just itchy. I had to constantly go from itching my legs, to my arms, to my neck, to my back, and so forth. Finally I just started to completely relapse and in the middle of class rub my eraser against my skin until it turned bright red and the kid next to me took my pencil away from me.

I relapsed after doing so well :/

Thanks. I went to my therapy today and I felt better even though I was the most recent one to have a relapse.
