i can easily redo 6 months of hardwork right.... - April 10th 2012, 03:23 AM

because i really am tired of fighting this. i want to cut...now. i went out and bought a razor just because of how bad the urge is, i know how stupid that is but i need to cut....

all i want is a place to call my own and
mend the hearts of everyone who feels alone,
you know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Hi there.

I'm really glad you've come to us here at Teenhelp for some support.

From the title, I assume you're six months self harm free and I just wanted to say how incredible that is. You've come really far and I think you should be really proud of yourself.

Can I ask you what has triggered you? Has anything happened over the past few days to make you feel this way to the point where you're wanting to self harm? If something has bothered you and upset you, I just want you to know you're more than welcome to talk to us about it, we won't judge.

During recovery you're going to still get urges to self harm but you CAN beat them. As hard as it is, you're in control of your actions and the only person who can stop you from self harming, is yourself. I know this can be really hard but you can do it, even if it means crying until you can't keep your eyes open. You are stronger than these urges. Have you tried distracting yourself? Try going for a run or a walk, do some art, meet a friend, read a book, watch a funny film, write things down, do anything to try and help you.

You can beat this so keep on fighting. You don't need self harm and you're definitely worth a lot more than it.

Keep smiling, you're not alone.
