Autism and public transport - November 26th 2013, 07:17 PM

Hey everyone,

Basically in December I am going ice skating with my 6th form the teachers are accompanying us on the way there but on the way back is a problem because I get lost easily and the teachers won't be there. My friends don't live near me so I don't know what to do about the train directions to get back to my house on the way back. I haven't been by myself on a train before.

Love from Meera xx

Hi Meera,

I know this would be difficult for me as well so you are not alone in worrying about how to get back on the train.
Is it possible for you to call the train station and ask them the directions? You could ask them which trains you need to get on, if you have any trains you have to connect to and which stops you have to get off at. You could write down this information so that when you are on your way bbakc from the trip you know where to go and if you write the times, you will know at what times to get to each stop.
I hope this helps and that you enjoy skating with your classmates!
