Disabilities Living with a disability, either physical or mental, can be both challenging and life changing. For support, questions and discussions relating to disabilities, post here.
Hey, my mom and I applied for Disability in which I still don't agree with, but that is a story on it's own. I do have a few questions and I believe this would be the right forum. If not, then feel free to move.
I do have a few questions about the SSI Disability as I have to do in for an interview. I am a bit nervous as I always am when it comes to interviews.
What exactly is SSI Disability?
What questions will they ask?
SSI disability stands for Supplemental Security Income. Basically its a way of getting money for basic needs if you have disabilities and do not have very much or any income. As far as what you should say in the interview.. Would you mind sharing what you situation is? I would be able to help you more if i new the circumstances.
basically: [list]
any type of income ( including work,or any other source)
were you live
citizenship status
any SS benefits your receiving
marital status
wether you live in a private home, assisted living, jail
your disability
are you blind
do you need a transplant
what state you live in
when you became disabled
total cash value of what you own yourself
is anyone relying on you for financial support
are any of your parents deceased
do your parents receive SS benefits
educational status
thats all that i can remember... I haven't talked to SSI in a long time lol. If you have any other questions feel free to send me a message!
