Brain Injury - August 13th 2010, 02:31 PM

I have a self-inflicted brain injury. Last year on the 17th of april I shot myself in the head and amazingly I am actually doing quite well, I can walk, I can talk, and swallow. Although I had to learn all those again. I'm actually writing to ask if anyone else has a brain injury how easy it is to get a driving license, because I can't find any information that applies to me.

why did you shoot your self? were you depressed?

But any less. I think you would be able to find lots of information by googling it..

I think they'll want to know most if things like you have slowed reaction times, if your vision is impaired, stuff like that. Also, if you have seizures or anything like that you're automatically disqualified.

Anders: That's not evasive.
Isabela: Look, I didn't get where I am by showing my hand, you know?
Anders: No, it's not your hand that I've heard you've been showing...

Unfortunately I don't know the requirements to get a drivers license for your case. I think it would be best to take a stroll over to the license department and get a straight answer from them.

I wish you all the best, take care.
