Smoking Relapsed - August 23rd 2013, 01:37 AM

Ok. So basically, I quit smoking for about 8 weeks. I managed to resist through the withdrawal phase, and quite a while after. Then I relapsed today cos a friend of mine was smoking and I had had 9 cocktails and asked him for a fag. Anyway, then I ended up smoking. Of course, 5-10 minutes later I figured my mistake. I know it was wrong to do this. I later researched all the Joel Splitzer videos that had helped me with quitting. Anyway, I know what all this means, and I'm not going to smoke again. But I'm pissed off because I know I'm going to have to go through withdrawal again. In fact, I'm in withdrawal now. I'm not really looking for advice, because I really understand what has to be done. I guess this is just advice: do not become complacent and allow yourself to relapse. It will not benefit you one bit, but it will definitely harm you, evdn if you can't believe it.

Congrats. Happy to hear your recovery story.

I recently acquired a cigarette addiction myself. I usually smoke five a day now. Usually I would barely smoke two every other day.
