Showering... - August 1st 2009, 05:56 PM

All right, I didn't know what to put this under...

I have this weird thing. Every day, I HAVE to shower. Not that it's a rule or anything, but I feel like I have to, even if I took one the night before. If not, I feel really dirty and icky, and irritable. I also end up in a very bad mood. Sometimes, I'd be able to make it through the middle of the day, but by then I have to take a shower.

Does anyone know what this is about? Is this just a thing, or is it actually soemthing?

Yeah, I know it sounds pretty stupid...but..it's really been bothering me.

I got a pocketful of sunshine.

It's not unusual to have a shower every day, the majority of people do have a shower every day. I don't really think that it's anything to worry yourself over. I also feel dirty/irritable if I don't have a daily shower which results in a bad mood.
I wouldn't discourage you from washing every day.

This could be for several reasons, Maybe showering makes you feel more relaxed? feeling the water falling down onto your body; i know i enjoy it.
or it might just be one of those things, for example some people get the desire to wash there hands constantly, like as soon as they walk in the door, after reading a book, and so on. its just one of those things.
like an Ocd.
i have one with doors. i cant have open doors around me, it freaks me out. strange i know.. but you get what i mean?

hope this has helped

xx Jess

It's not unusual to want to take a shower everyday im the same way it's just something in our mind that tells us thats what we need to do.

I think that's not too uncommon- I know plenty of people who shower everyday.

The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it.

Most people shower daily, some shower twice a day. At least you have good hygiene right? Sorry I'm not much help but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I'm the same. I freak out if I dont get a shower and wash my hair every day. I feel filthy and refuse to leave my bedroom.

I don't think it's a probem - it seems to me just to be more of a strong personal prefference.

i doubt its a problem, just the need to feel clean.
unless its an excessive amount of showering per day
or like riturally done.

i don't think it's a problem.
i think you are just used to taking a shower, and maybe it calms you.
maybe it's a time to just... get away or something. i don't know.
but no, it's not weird.
