I also have a sugar addiction. It sucks. I consume anywhere between 50-300 grams of sugar a day. I've told my mom and my dad, they're really not helping much. I've also posted about it on here, but got very little in the way of answers.

I hope you fare better.

OMG! Me too... I'm constantly eating chocolate and drinking squash and fizzy drinks, and my teeth are suffering. I've found eating a big breakfast stops me from snacking, and letting myself have something when I really want something - I just end up craving and binging if I resist serious temptation... What I try to do now is to not carry any money around - with no money I can't buy chocolate!

Genius! I guess I kind of crave sweet things... Its never been a problem, but due to spending ridiculous amounts on them I've recently cut it all out... NO snacking for me

behind craving sweet things all the time can be a lack of vitamin c in your body. try taking some, and see if it gets better, imo. it works for me.

how much? the rda, 60 mgs is nothing. try taking 500-1000 mgs, it worked for even my friend who usually eats about 4 bars of chocolate every day. i gave vitamin c for him for a week, and he didn't crave sugar half as much.

My advice would be try to not keep sweets in the house. If you are trying to kick the addiction it might work. It's not a serious addiction or anything so it's your choice whether you want to try and overcome it or not. You can always see if sugarfree candy works for you. Just an alternative that may or may not work.

Whatever it is, chances are I've been there.
If I can make it out, you can too.

here's a way to kick the sweets addiction- cut it out of your diet completely! that's what i'm doing...it's really hard because you can't eat anything with sugar (except for healthy sugar in fruits and such) and you can't have any sugar substitutes, but it's all worth it. you eat healthy food because you don't get all of the calories from sugar, and in all of this (i don't know how much this matters to you) but you lose weight! well, not a whole lot i guess, but just enough to notice that that little bit of "pudge" is gone. =)

I want a moment to be real
Want to touch things I don't feel
Want to hold on, and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change?
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me, but I'm still here

Whenever I feel the need for a certain food, I usually go on the internet, search up unsanitary food practices, and the need goes down, cause I usually lose my appetite. I'm wierd like that, but it helps.

I find drinking tea with a wee bit of sugar in will help that crave for sweets.

I'm all for sugar and junk food so... I'm not going to be much of a help

You should try cutting down on your sugar intake. Tell yourself that you're only allowed to have a little chocolate-bar and nothing more after that. Baby steps work best. If you're up for it.. you can stop purchasing sweets altogether.. although that'd be a little hard..

Everyone needs a little sugar sometime
