Question chewing bendy straws... - November 17th 2009, 01:22 PM

I'm not exactly sure what to be writing here, but I'll give it a shot.

Recently, whenever I have a bendy straw at home, I always start chewing it obsessively. My mouth feels weird without having a straw in and my jaw feels weird after chewing for about an hour. At school, I've taken up chewing gum instead of straws, which has gotten me in trouble at school several times. My teachers don't understand my addiction, and I'm only starting to notice it myself...

My dad's a smoker, but I don't smoke. I vowed to myself, at the age of six, that I would never smoke, and I've kept to that promise.

Any advice on how I can quit chewing?

No one cares about me.
So why should I care?

Allow me to close my eyes
One last final time.

Keep those straws out of reach No, seriously, just make sure there aren't any straws reachable and you'll be fine. The same with gum too, or any addiction that is something you'd buy... Just make sure if someone has bought it you can't get hold of it . Works for me anyways

How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing?

Agreeing with what Joel said, keeping them out of reach so if you feel the urge coming on there isn't any around for you to start to chew on. Or, you could slowly start to cut down. Think about how many you usually chew and try and do one less everyday or week and see if you can get it down to just none or at least hardly any so it doesn't effect you when your at school chewing gum.
