Red face Is this possible? - January 30th 2010, 06:48 PM

To become addicted to someone? But not just 'someone'... a celebrity. I'm actually "in love" with Alecia Moore. (P!nk). For at least 6 years she's been my idol and whatnot, and I've seen her live last year and I was just stood there after quing for 12 hours, I was sobbing, like literally sobbing.

And it's getting to where I do nothing but listen to P!nk, stalk her around the internet, collect pictures of her, and plaster my walls with pictures of her. And I'm having my bedroom decorated in the next few weeks and I even asked my mum if I could ask my older brother to paint a picture of her on my wall as part of a shrine. (I am so embarrassed talking about this lmao.) But it's so crazy now, people think I'm weird! For Christmas I got tickets to see her again, they were so expensive my mum paid 200 for two tickets. I screamed when I open them lmao, I was crying and like on the floor in tears. What is going on in my head? Will it pass? Because for months and months I've been CRAZY about her. When I saw her live she touched my hand and I had a wrist band on that she touched and I wore it EVERYWHERE until it snapped and fell off, I was torn apart for literally weeks about it

I just want to know if anyone knows what I should do. I've even spoken to my councilor about it and she says as I've been very lonely I've found comfort in her and I do agree, I think she has just been the biggest part of my life for the last year that I can't stop thinking about her and being obsessed with her.

Alecia Beth Moore what are you doing to me

I don't think it's unusual. I used to be obsessed with Danny from McFly. Like your counsellor said you just found some comfort in her. I think it's one of these things that you grow out of, how long it takes to grow out of it probably varies though.

Maybe ask your doctor if there's some kind of psychological therapy for it? Like hypnosis or something similar?

well she is an awesome performer...

"Now at the end of everyday I lie awake at night and wait
To feel the wires of my brain get cut and quietly rearranged, and
Hear my beaten heart exclaim, 'Still, I refuse to let her go.'"

So we escape to our mistakes for they wait patiently for us.
Oh, how they always wait for me.

If my fear has kept me here only my fear can set me free."

yes she is but there are many awesome performers out there, it has nothing to do with her performing (well, a little), it's her as a person, her voice, her looks, the way she says certain words, her body, her tattoos, everything.
