P0rn - May 17th 2010, 08:41 PM

Well, I think I really have an addiction to watching p0rn. I only really got into it when i was like 12-13, but now I'm 14 and I just do it like 5 days a week or something. I try to tell myself to stop but in the end I just do it. Sometimes at school I see some pretty girls and I just "look" at them. I was talking to my friend the other day and we were joking around and he said that he never even watched it.

Even when I was a kid, I looked at women in bikinis. I think I have some problems, and I don't want to be a perverted man when I grow up and have troubles will my relationships (not that I'm going out with anyone right now). I really think this is really bad, I'm trying to quit my watching youtube videos and playing games, how should I stop?

Hey there.

I think the best way to beat any addiction is to find other ways to occupy your time. Find something else to do as opposed to looking at porn. Play sports, hang out with friends, read a book, play video games. Just find something that you enjoy that will take your mind off of wanting to watch porn.

It can also be really hard to conquer addictions alone. It might be helpful to you to talk with a therapist about things and I'm sure you could even find support groups out there if you were interested in that.

You can do this! Don't give up.

As Emily said, the best way to overcome an addiction is to occupy yourself with other things. Struggling with a porn addiction (or any addiction) can seem like fighting a battle that is impossible to win.

Take baby steps out of your addiction.

Also, it helps to have an accountability partner. Someone (who isn't addicted) that can be there for you and can help you along your journey to beating the addiction.

Then what will I say?"

Sirjan's 6 Easy Step's to Dropping Porn Cold Turkey FREE OF CHARGE

1. Throw away your porn! Unless you're visiting websites. All you have to do for that is block those sites. It can be hard to do so but

2. *INSERT YOUR FAVORITE THING HERE* And do it! Don't get addicted to your favorite thing. Whenever you get the urge to watch porn do this thing.

3. Get a girl friend. LOL, not for sex. With a girlfriend you will develope a sense of respect for women than their bodies. Which I'm not accusing you to be a pervert or w/e, just you'll realize, with a girl friend, those girls on those sites are boring. A girlfriend, not a friend who is a girl.

4. Bite your nails! Everyone's biggest addiction fighter. Works 78% of the time, Division of Sirjan Research and made up statistics.

5. Do your business without porn. You can still have your date Palmela Handerson.

6. Talk to a positive MALE role model. Your dad, your friend, your P.E. teacher, Priest. A woman will never fully confess or relate to an addiction to porn. She'll lie.

Okay, I'll try these things out. I usually don't really do it unless I see something that reminds me of it like a picture or video or something 0_o

It's time to stop

(btw, I really like your "6 Easy Step's to Dropping Porn Cold Turkey" lol it was kinda funny but I think it's worth a try! Thanks

Distractions are the best way to curb any addictive behavior, really. Find something you love - something that brings you joy and that you enjoy, perhaps even more than porn.

xxxchurch.com has a program you can put on your computer that will send an accountability partner of your choice a message when you watch porn. It helps keep you in check. You can also buy the better version of it which will actually block those sites from your computer.
