idk if this is the right section or not someone can move it if need be but I'm a hoarder. I can't bring myself to throw anything out at this point. I have pairs of underwear from when I was 8 years old. My mom made me clean my room today and I found objects and papers I can't even identify because there was an entire layer of MOLD from god knows what I've been hoarding in here, my room looks like the houses on tv. Everyone is afraid to set foot in my room. Yet I can't part with useless objects (used gift cards, broken headphones etc) and I'm going to get sick from all this. How do I clean it all up and what the hell do I do to avoid all this again?

I would strongly suggest you bring this to the attention of a professional. They can give you the right help need to help curb your hoarding habits.

My mom is a hoarder and she refuses to get help. As a child of a hoarder, I am gonna say this: Get help now. Professional help. You don't wanna become as bad as my mom is and then be in denial that there is in fact a problem. Please, if not for yourself (which it looks like you wanna do for yourself), do it for your kids that you will have in the future so they won't have to live in a house like mine.

I agree on the help part. I'm slightly a hoarder, as in, It hurts to get rid of things, but I get rid of things anyways. One thing from a tv show is, have someone help you, they lift it up and ask if you want to keep it, without touching it, say yes or no about it.

I would seriously consider help, professional help. It will only get worse at time goes on if you don't, which can affect your life completely, it's better safe than sorry.
