Addicted to Adictions? - March 25th 2012, 07:39 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I'm addicted to a ridiculous amount of things. I'm addicted to exercise, cutting, bad relationships, pain, thrill, Mountain Dew, Video games, biting my nails, quiting, whinning, magic (vampires, witches, chakras, ect.), writting, reading, ect. When I'm not focusing on one addiction I'm focusing on at least five others. It seems extreamly unhealthy and has lead to a handfull of problems but I'm not sure what to do about it. It's not just me likeing things I completly obsess over all these things and more. If I'm focusing on something I usually don't eat or take a break even when my eyes hurt from not blinking and I can barely walk. Any suggestions?

Never heard of this, but maybe you should ask a doctor/therapist about this?

Seems to be a mix of physiological addictions for adrenaline rushes (pain, trill, cutting, exercise and possibly Mountain Dew), enjoyment of video games and magic (being able to pretend to be something/someone else), with a few hobbies (reading, writing and possibly Mountain Dew if you're into collecting rather than only drinking them). Additionally, I'll vouch for a fragile sense of self, leading to competitiveness when possible and quitting all other times. There also seems to be possible self-abuse through bad relationships and anxiety through nail biting.

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.
