Smile Seize the day -- carpe diem. - January 1st 2015, 10:16 AM

Hi everyone, and happy new year!

I thought I might just share my New Year experience, which actually taught me a very important lesson. Basically, to cut things short, me and my family spent the evening at this hotel where there was a family disco thing (I know, it sounds really cheesy but it got better when the DJ stopped getting requests from the small girls). That evening, I happened to spot a good looking guy. He turned out to be so cool -- he was an awesome dancer, he played the piano, he looked kind of shy, he was dancing with his small sister, what more can I say. And the best part is that he was looking at me too! All along I was wondering about how I should go up and talk to him, but before I'd even realized... he was gone.
I still feel so angry at myself for not doing anything about it -- I could have easily pulled him aside and just chatted with him, or at the end I could have asked for his facebook or email... but I'm such a stupid shy coward that I didn't. And now I can't go back.

So, to end this on a happy note, I've decided that my main big resolution for this year is to SEIZE THE DAY. If you're kind of like me, and in situations like that you tend to shy back and stay in your own corner instead of taking a risk, then I suggest you take that resolution too! Maybe we could all agree to blog our future 'seize the day' experiences on teenhelp, so that we can all support eachother.

Anyway, bye, and happy new year!

That’s a great moral of the story! I definitely should start taking more chances! Happy New Year

I love that movie; Dead Poet Society!

But more on topic, I think you made a great resolution. Good luck, do your best to keep it throughout the year!

I still fill my panties; do YOU?

This is a great resolution and I wish you all the best in keeping it! I know I need to start taking more chances as well because I miss out on some thing since I am too shy. Happy New Year!
