Your Bucket List - March 4th 2018, 01:05 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I labeled this as being triggering because, if you aren't aware, a bucket list is a compilation of things you want to do before you die.

My bucket list:
- Travel the world. This itself includes a whole bunch of things.
- Lead a successful career where I make a name for myself.
- Go to college and get a degree, preferably before parents die.

I know these aren't very far-out, eye-catching, and is typical for anyone in their 30s. But, aha, these are on mine.

What's yours?

Based somewhat on this thread.

Re: Your Bucket List - March 4th 2018, 02:22 PM

See the northern lights and meet a wolf/wolves (there's a place in Norway that combines both, I think, bonus if I can stay in one of those ice hotels!).
Husky sledding (already been on a sled once but would love to go again).
Some travelling and holidays would be nice- bonus if it's with friends. Thinking along the lines of Europe, Canada and a tour of the States. Although I'd be happy just going to Disneyland and Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Go to a convention/concert/festival- they always look fun and bonus if I can meet favourite actors/singers!
Maybe learn to drive? My dream car would be some sort of 4x4, but I can't even drive (bonus for going on a road trip, preferably with friends)
Perhaps publish a book, or a research paper or something (bonus if it's through getting a Master's)
Work in a profession that I am passionate about- currently counselling/mental health related.
At some point, be in a stable and loving relationship, with the potential for marriage and kids (maybe).
Would love to own my own home (as opposed to renting, but since I haven't moved out then moving out would be a start ).
Have a dog! (bonus if I can train it to pull a sled!) And maybe a cat, and perhaps a few other pets
Do some sort of a marathon/walk...this could happen soon because an organisation for Alzheimer's holds walks every year.
Find some way of paying back friends and family or just spend more quality time with them.
Be happy

Have a serious girlfriend
Get Married
Be a foster mom
Adopt kids
Have twins
Go to England
See the northern Lights
Go to Blizzard mountain water park

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are

Meet someone that'll be understanding of my issues.
Adopt or foster one or two children, possibly 3.
Get established in a job.
Graduate with a medical assisting degree.
Travel to Alaska and visit Canada.
Make a difference in another's life like one of my high school teachers did for me.
Have my own place.
Publish a book.

1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.

We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.
