new life, new start - September 30th 2009, 09:48 PM

I recently decided I needed a break from my Mum, family etc, and I moved in with my best friend Annie and I've been here for just over a week - my goal is to let myself relax and get some time to get my head around things. I've just got into a relationship three weeks ago with a 25 year old, this has caused some problems in my family but I'm not going to let this bring me down. Now I'm living alone I've done all the things I really wanted to do, I've got a new laptop (those pay monthly ones) as my Mum used to scream at me for mentioning getting one, I'm getting snakebites on saturday (if I can afford it!) and I've spent the last 4 nights in my new house with my girlfriend who is coming back on friday for the weekend, everything is looking up at last but my goal is to keep myself happy and stay happy, it's working so far, i just need to get myself sorted and work out where I want things to go - and speak to my Mum, it's been 5 days now but I'm staying strong.

I'm so proud of myself for doing all of this, I'm also deciding to come off all my medication as I want to get through this alone, and it's working. Yay xxx

I'm really pleased to hear that Emma

Making that goal to keep yourself happy is such a great one, and I hope that you're able to meet that goal!
Keep staying strong, it's good that you've decided to come off of your medication as well, sometimes that can just make things more complicated. If you can get away with not taking it then why not?

Hope things work out for you!

Hey Emma!

I'm so glad that things are working out for you
Its a huge step to move out, and I'm really happy that so far everything has been going smoothly for you.
Your family probably didn't approve of your new relationship because they're looking out for you, but if you can prove to them that despite the age difference you're both happy and your relationship is really good then I'm sure they will eventually support you.
I really hope you get your snake bites!! We demand pictures if you do, for serious now!
Good luck for everything Emzy, I really hope things continue to be this awesome

You are the one, the one who lies next to me,
Whispers "hello, I missed you quite terribly"

Yay for you Emma! I can remember when you were really down and couldn't see a wait out of how you are feeling but you have managed to get through it and you are so strong. I am really happy for you because you honestly deserve to be happy

Although I really don't know you, I'm really happy for ya! haha. It takes a lot to pull yourself away to the things you're used to. Home, medication, unhappiness. It sounds like you're getting a really nice break/new start. Enjoy your freedom, and make the best of it!

Well done Thats awesome Very few people would have the guts and strength to go through and do something like that

How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing?
Do something that is interesting. If it is not interesting, find out why it is not interesting.
