Environmental Project for Youth - December 22nd 2009, 09:55 PM

We as youth need to clean up the environment now and have this generation take the lead on this issue. Youth around Canada are standing up and becoming leaders on the environment by taking global action and turning them into local actions. Everyday we hear about young leaders coming up with ideas and actions to make the environment a better place to live. Three of the examples are below:
  1. Youth from Canada led on the October 24th (International Day of Climate Action). On this day: 1,000 Youth met for a three day conference in Ottawa, 3,000 People met on Parliament Hill led by Youth, and rallies happened across Canada led by a university student from Toronto.
  2. In the last three weeks, 6 protests have taken place at local Member of Parliament Offices around Canada, where Youth were the driving force behind this.
  3. Canadians (mostly youth) are leading in the international climate change talks that was going on in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Youth in Canada are leading in the local, national and international climate change issue. With this, there is a urgent need for youth to stand up and voice their opinion. You can read more about this below.

"Why do we fight in this world so much?"

"I cry everyday for all the hurt in this world."
