Another Decade is Ending - December 27th 2009, 08:49 PM

For most people I feel we agree this has been a very disappointing decade. If you look back on the events of your previous ten years, what would you like to see more of in the new decade we are about to begin? Perhaps you have developed an interest you can specify and encourage others to take part in. Perhaps there is something you started doing which helps you grow as a person, connect with others in your family or helps meet new people. Take some time and think about the good things you have done to help other people and what you would like to do in the future to help yourself.

Happy new year.

I would actually like to see less violence, hate, crime, sexual abuse, and all of that. I hope that we soon begin a better era!

awh nooo.. i don't agree. i don't think it's been a disappointing decade. theres been a lot of crazy stuff happen.. a lot bad, but theres been a lot of good, too.
it's crazy thinking how fast these past 10 years have gone. it seems like we were only just celebrating the millennium.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

I expected a millennium celebration to be visibly more than each year generally is.. i hoped for a lot more than i should have I suppose, part of that is my fault for wanting so much, socially. However, you are right there was a lot of good things happen. Feel free to list them here

Everyone in the UK seems to call it the noughties, I have no idea how that stuck.

I think the 'naughties' should have been called, the 'crappies' or something to that effect.

Am I the only one who quite liked this decade? lol. Obviously stuff like the Iraq war/9/11/London Bombings wasn't good but I think overall it has been decent enough.

I didn't think this decade was particularly shabby... obviously there were ups and downs but that happens to everyone doesn't it??
I want to see more equality in the next decade, I think it can happen, I have great faith in the world and hope in people.
