No chance, but I can try. :p -

I already speak English and Spanish fluently, but I've always been interested in languages. I'm also very interested in religion, and I've been wanting to incorporate those. I've been thinking hard, and I'd like to learn both Hebrew and Arabic so I can go through the Bible and Qua'ran in their original languages, respectively. Not only do I want to study these languages so I can go through those religious texts, but I'd also like to feel comfortable with conversing in both.
In addition to learning Hebrew and Arabic, I'm also wanting to get very familiar (if not fluent) with Italian and French, as both are fairly near Spanish and would probably be useful. I also really want to be somewhat familiar with Farsi and Greek, as I think both languages are beautiful. ![]() High goals, but I'm quite disciplined, motivated, and talented with languages, so I have high hopes. I have a ton of Jewish friends (one of which is actually lending some books on learning and practicing Hebrew) and my pastor is familiar with the Bible in Hebrew since he studied it like that, so I'm pretty set with Hebrew already.

Well, I'd consider 'fluent' to be any language you can speak naturally.
And yes, the Old Testament was in Hebrew and the New Testament was in Greek. I suppose I should've clarified such and I would imagine the New Testament hardly exists in Hebrew anyways. Moses originally wrote parts of the Bible in Hebrew, so I'd call it the original version or tongue. Anyways, thank you all.

I don't think those are too high of goals for you at all.
All it takes is dedication and time (: I actually think that's really cool ! I might be crazy. But have I told you lately that I love you? You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly. <3 |
